Hello,

I am Patrice from allmyapps.com. We provide our users with an apps manager able to detect applications already installed on their PC and notify them if there is a new release available. We are able to do that by searching the windows registry (in places like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall for example). Unfortunately, Prey doesn't display any name or version in the registry, meaning that we are not able to detect it.
That will be great if you could provide a fix for this in your next release.

Thanks,
Patrice

Hey Patrice,

Glad to know you're onto us. :)

How did you get this version of Prey installed, in the first place? We still haven't officially pushed neither Windows nor Mac installers for this client (as we do on the other one) as it's still on development. So I'm more than curious to know!

Hi Patrice,

I haven't received a reply for this so I'm closing the issue for the time being. Fee free to reopen it if you need any help. I can provide links to the official packages if needed.
