Problem description
Schema Registry releases uncompressed tar files. For example: https://github.com/pravega/schema-registry/releases/tag/v0.4.0

Pravega "core" releases compressed tgz files. Compare: https://github.com/pravega/pravega/releases/tag/v0.12.0

Problem location
https://github.com/pravega/schema-registry/blob/master/build.gradle#L571

Suggestions for an improvement
Do Tar tasks need to specify gzip compression, as in: https://github.com/pravega/pravega/blob/master/build.gradle#L1498 ?
