I made a file in alpha 2.0 not yet ready to upload, but already tried the new polishing function.
Caret and chordname move out of the system.

The Original Caret is frozen. Clicking in the system makes a second Caret.

I can reproduce the issue with the caret disappearing / getting stuck, but I can't reproduce the chord issue.
