different --knots set, different results

Hi @terhorst ,
I know you give a tips of the --knots set problem, however, I am trying to set the --knots to 5, 10 and 20, but they have produced disparate outcomes, how can I determine which result is the most accurate?
Any information would be helpful! Thank you very much!
