In progress: see #19 for updates.

In order to implement more advanced features we're going to need to store per-server configurations.

should probably go with mariadb + handwritten queries. not sure if there's a good ORM to use but I'll look into that.

also, we will need to update the privacy policy and terms of use in order to reflect new data storage. ideally we should store as little as possible.
