PG Move was the first part of the transport system that was originally built for PlexGuide. When PlexGuide v3 was established, the focus was to create bandwidth controls in order to assist with the uploading process. The process was quite difficult to understand due to how to mount drives, utilize RClone, and how to create system startup services. On top of that, the layers of encryption further complicated the process. With the current version of PlexGuide, you can easily deploy PG Move.
PG Move is dead simple to use compared to PG Blitz. PG Blitz is a bit more involved in how to setup and PG Move is the only system that enables you to utilize encryption (which is not recommended and needed). Below, we will talk about the pros and cons of PG Move compared to PG Blitz.
Advantages of PG Move over PG Blitz:
- Very easy to setup
- Encryption can be utilized
- Can use bandwidth controls to limit the upload rate
- Only utilizes your Google Drive
Disadvantage of PG Move over PG Blitz:
- Can transport 750GB per day | PG Blitz can exceed the cap
- Encryption cannot be utilized (more due to technical implementations)
- Utilizes trickle upload (10 MB) to prevent the upload ban
