Update instruction removes all collected data

Following this steps will remove all data that has already been collected! 2 Years of data lost because of this...

It should be changed to:

docker-compose stop
docker-compose pull
docker-compose up -d --remove-orphans

Got the same problem... Really poor information on the website.

There is some information over here. However this should be reflected on the docs. Will try to recover my data, but I am not sure I will be able to do that.

Sorry for a late reply, I wasn't subscribed to this repo. If you upgraded to v2, the data hasn't been lost, it's just v2 reads it from the new tables and the old data needs to be moved there for it to become visible in the dashboards. Please see plausible/analytics#3132 for more info.
