CoDi does not display characters properly when using Google Maps navigation with language settings that uses multibyte characters.

I cannot take CoDi screen shots for now due to reasons:

  • I don't have any cameras except Cosmo.
  • My Cosmo's battery is completely dead and cannot turn on Cosmo anymore.
  • Cosmo cannot continue boot sequence without working battery.

How to reproduce this bug:
(1) Set language setting to Japanese.
(2) reboot OS with CoDi on.
(3) start navigation with google maps.
(4) for example, If a right turn should be made 10 meters ahead,
Codi should display something like "10m 右折",
but all characters (except [0-9]) are displayed garbled.

Understand. CoDi is written in C, so I imagine there's some UTF-8 transliteration issues. Can't fix this. But in CoDiOS it should be fixed.
