In most cases, Cosmo plays music with the right and left phases reversed.
Speakers/headphone terminals are connected with incorrect polarity or device driver configuration issue.

Wow, thanks for the example! I'd seen this discussed previously, but I never understood the impact, and that video makes it so much clearer - the inverted sections of the video sound so much better. I think there was a kernel patch on Gemini from someone ages ago that resolved this..
