After relocation/renaming of music albums they are seen by plex as new and things like user ratings are not copied. Merging the "new" album into the "old" one (which is still in the trash) transfers this information to the new album before the trash is emptied. While this can be realized with plex web, this method is currently missing in plexapi although the class plexapi.mixins.SplitMergeMixin already exists.
Are there any workarounds?
Use of the plex GUI, ticking the albums with the old album first and select merge in the context menu.
