In another context we had issues with records that have too short 008 elements in my understanding the documentation says 008 should have 40 characters
E.g. https://lobid.org/marcxml/99373435106706441 Here008 has only 32 characters: 231205s2024 gw a ob 001 0 ger d
231205s2024 gw a ob 001 0 ger d
When checking if qa-catalogue also marks this as an issue we found that 008 is not tested for length.
008
Also the index shows under Marc that 008 is the short version as stated abouve.
But somehow under 008 it shows a 40 character string:
Am I missing something concerning the documentation of 008? Or is this a missing feature of qa-catalogue?
