Hello there! SPQR started as an internal project at Yandex Cloud. Our goal was to help developers avoid writing repetitive code and provide a managed sharded, aka horizontally scaled, PostgreSQL service at Yandex Cloud to solve some of the challenges with sharding PostgreSQL. However, our goal is not just to offer another sharding tool for PostgreSQL. We want SPQR to become the default choice for sharding in the PostgreSQL community. Our main advantage is our license choise - PostgreSQL Global Development Group License. We aim to build a diverse, engaged community of developers. That's why we are looking for collaborators to join us on this journey.
Looking for collaborators
I would like to extend an invitation to potential collaborators interested in contributing to the development and maintenance of the SPQR project. If you have any brilliant ideas or want to propose new features for SPQR, please don't hesitate to create a new issue or start a discussion in our repository. We are always open to your feedback and pull requests. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated.
