USB-C mini jack headphones not visible in Realtek Audio Console

I have headphones connected to USB-C to mini jack adapter (provided with the motherboard Asus B550-XE) as the board does not have separate headphone jack on the back plate. I used to see two devices in Realtek Audio Console:

• Speakers (which were 5.1 - 3 outputs on the motherboard back)
• Headphones (which was that USB-C -> mini jack adapter)

I seem to have lost headphones from that , on the left side menu in Realtek Audio Console I see Speakers and Realtek Digital Output.
If I reconnect headphones (either USB-C or jack plugged into it - it seem just a straight electrical connection adapter) they get recognized (and working) but they replace the speakers! (So I still see Speakers in RAC and Realtek Digital Output, speakers is my headset, and I loose control over actual speakers)

Do you know what might be the reason, what am I missing?
