Clips missing first few seconds of video, only audio plays

The issues described at the below links seem to be affecting this program too. I'm seeing this with clips less than 2s which are just audio

I have noticed this too while saving cuts (on Windows 7 x64). Though media Player starts the video ok, but VLC only plays audio for a few seconds and then video appears. This is not happening when cutting videos with another program.

Same here - during the first 2 seconds of video playback I can only hear audio and there is no video. Thanks for opening the issue.

I have the same issue on Ubuntu 16.04.02.

In 4.0.0 i only have such problem with an old mpg file. Avi, mp4, mkv work fine now.

Ok, just tried with 5.0.5 and sometimes still does it with some older avi files.
