Currently it’s not possible to upload anything when you’re offline. Also you permanently get the modal telling you you’re offline.

The modal should only come once per »session« (per opening the app, or once after coming from sleep). But not on every navigation inside the app.

Uploading and creating folders should work offline, and be queued for sync as soon as there’s connection again.

Same on iOS owncloud/ios-legacy#76

i think the indication should be permanent ( for example "offline mode" in the menu bar.) Only showing it when opening the app or when coming back from sleep is not enough, as the logged in/not logged in status is subject to change while the app is running.

yes yes definetely yes.

@nodiscc yes, there should be a permanent indication on top »ownCloud is offline«. See Spotify on iOS (not sure if Spotify on Android does the same).

The modal is out now in 'develop' (or maybe in other branch close to merge into it); consider it a bug.

The 'offline' indicator is a great idea, IMHO.

And the offline uploads are a work in progress. Stay tuned!!

@MTRichards @rperezb the app still doesn’t work when offline. This is a killer when on a plane, train or plain bad wifi. People have to remember which files they wanted to delete or upload until they are next online … let’s prioritize this higher up!
