I’m very sorry about this. We will fix the issues. For now, I strongly recommend downgrading to the last version of Bun that worked for you. You might also need to downgrade turbo repo, it sounds like. |

I also created an issue about downgrading bun too: I really didnt want to be nuisance, but this really blocked any work until I find a fix |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I'm aware, they neither removed nor deprecated the binary lockfile. It's merely not the default anymore. |

it reads binary, but you cant generate it for a new project, meaning you have to grab an existing binary from another project and hope it works or use an older version |

Not gonna lie, I was hyped with bun from the start, I use windows and before its official support I install a dualboot on my computer just to use bun. I hyped everyone I came across with to at least try bun, but now I may get fired for it.
TLDR: bun is broken for me and halted development on the company I work on
My first major complain was the speed that they removed binary locks, they deprecated it without a major version (I know they dont use semantic versioning), but it happened too fast. Tools didnt have time to deploy a solution and this broke my workflow, well, I guess I just shouldnt have updated bun I guess. But for business life I really would rather have stability than the great performance/speed of bun, specially because this may cost my job.
Second major complain is that for some reason, bun package manager started breaking my projects, I know its a really big endeavor and its not possible for handling every exception that shows up, but this is really big, its breaking in several packages and occasions, and I dont feel like I will get any attention for being a low profile dev. But once again this has halted development where I work at, and I sincerely dont have any excuses to my boss.
This was my fault, but bun has announced itself as being production ready (also in windows), but I feel really frustrated and afraid of losing my job because of this, because I can't deliver and we had a tight schedule (this was actually a reason for choosing bun, because iterating was so much faster with it), I don't know if I abandon ship, wait for a miracle (someone actually listen to the bug reports I send) or something else, but I regret being so hyped about all of this...
