rqt gui not working

why is rosrun rqt_gui rqt_gui showing empty screen in my pc? i wanted to send the mav_msg/actuators from the rqt_gui to rotate the motors to test something. but the rqt_gui is not working properly. i have followed the installation tutorial of this page to install gazebo, subt repo and ros all.

We will need more information about your problem including:

1. OS version
2. Steps to reproduce your problem
