Describe the idea

When I record a track and select it to be visible, every time I stop walking, an icon marks the spot, where I stopped. I can choose in settings which icon is shown. I would like to choose no icon at all. I did not figure out, how this could be achieved by existing track recording settings.

Expected behaviour

I would expect to manage whether stops are marked or not.

Alternatives you've considered

Instead of choosing no icon, there could be a separate disabling option for setting stop marks.

Context

On my photo tours I stop all the time. This would clutter the view of the track. Further, there is no practical need to mark stops for me. My camera tags my photos with GPS.

Can you provide a screenshot of what it looks like from your side? Also try resetting Trip Recording settings:
Menu - Trip Recording - Settings - Reset plugin settings to default

As I remember the default settings, I have no continuous recording. I set all other settings to Zero too. I do not mind the GPX file size. I do not mind single not accurate waypoints that's all cleared later. As for the screen shot, I can provide it later.

I marked the stop icon, with a fat red arrow. First I had the problem that all stops were displayed. See my initial post. Now I have disabled all track recording filter settings so there is only one stop icon, marking the last stop. Recording is set to "continuous". My feature request is, no visual stop marking at all. This could be realized quite simple, by offering an additional empty (transparent) icon. Of course you could also offer another solution with a "do not display stops" option.
