Found in base branch: main
Vulnerability Details
Using snakeYAML to parse untrusted YAML files may be vulnerable to Denial of Service attacks (DOS). If the parser is running on user supplied input, an attacker may supply content that causes the parser to crash by stackoverflow.
Security plugin gets this dependency transitively from core. Snakeyaml was updated from 1.26 -> 1.31 in core in this PR: opensearch-project/OpenSearch#4341
