Board Seat elections process #600

We discussed this in today's meeting. I believe the general consensus is that:

  • Board seats should be staggered by 6 months
  • Both board seats should be up for election now
  • One board seat should only serve for 6 months to implement the staggered cycle

As a reminder, the seat eligibility and voting requirements are defined in the current PR (#587) as such:

Election tool of choice by CPC: OpaVote

Once we get board approval of PR #587, I suggest we take nominations in this issue. Candidates can self nominate, make a statement, and declare whether they are running for both seats or not.
