Remote sensing could be renamed as “Latest activities” and linked to a shared excel sheet with the list of ongoing workshops and event to be seen as a world map with the pins of locations (please see the mockup attached). The idea is to read the data from the excel and display it in a world map.
initial requirements
The mockup attached might help you on the idea we had for the screen software and the other pages.
first generate a basic version excluding “Forest quiz” and “Latest activities” (Old remote sensing).

Latest activities: it would be great if you could generate the world page with cloud/speech bubble with the webstories taken from the highlights from the FRA webpage. Below the latest ones:
Preparing for the second report on forests in the Amazon region | Global Forest Resources Assessments | Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
FAO workshop strengthens forest data collection in Madagascar | Global Forest Resources Assessments | Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
Strengthening forest data collection and fire management in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Türkiye
FAO training boosts forest data collection in Eastern and Southern Africa | FAO in Tanzania | Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
FAO training boosts forest data collection in Southeast Asia
And so on…….let me know how many of this could be placed on the world map. Maybe @ziegler, Madison (NFOD) can write few summary lines for each to be put in the bubble boxes.
