Is there already an issue for this request?

Describe the enhancement you'd like

Some indexers only provide nzbs that are compressed. A major newznab site just changed to nzb.zip and a prominent anime indexer only provides nzb.gz. It would great if there were native support for compressed nzbs for both the incoming file directory for api downloads and when a compressed nzb is uploaded directly to nzbget.

Extra information

I have only seen .zip and .gz nzbs, but please consider adding support for rar, 7z, and the various tar/gz/bz permutations.

There was some discussion here about an extension but the extension does not support all formats and this is suggested core feature functionality

#191

Thank you!

I think I had this unzip.py script working before, but it stopped working.
The annoying part is that I have no idea how to debug the scripts (it would be interesting to have logging on script execution)
I couldn't find a way of making any of the existing scripts work. I add zipped nzbs a lot. It would be nice

@alfablac
Thank you for suggesting unzip.py, but I prefer to add this functionality directly to the app.

@alfablac Thank you for suggesting unzip.py, but I prefer to add this functionality directly to the app.

Definitely, this should be prioritized on the app.
Many thanks, @dnzbk
