What I mean about user skipping versions is that
If the user version is 0.1.0, backend latest version is 0.2.0 (urgency high), but user didn’t open App and didn’t receive any notifications
Then the next version, user version is still 0.1.0 (user did not update), backend latest version is 0.2.1 (urgency low). User opens App now, but there will be no notifications, even when there had been a high urgency update between the current user version (0.1.0) and the latest version (0.2.1)
And this can only be solved by changing the data on backend side and changing the check implementation on App, which should belongs to a new FR
