<h2> About </h2>
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together <strong> analysts from academia, industry and government to learn and discuss new open source tools for business analytics and data science</strong>. The focus this year is on developments in open source, that underlies much of the analytics conducted today, which helps to make the world around us more understandable. You should come if you are an analytics professional, or leading a team of analysts or a developer of new open source tools.
<br><br>
Attendance will be limited to 20 participants (in-person and online) for each of the 8 tutorials on day 1, and 100 participants (in-person only) for day 2's workshop.
<em>The first 40 workshop registrations will come with a specially designed <span style="color: #D93F00;">WOMBAT mug</span>.</em> We will also have a rich collection of <span style="color: #D93F00;">hex stickers</span> available for all to choose from to decorate your laptop!

Michael Lawrence is a member of <a href="https://www.r-project.org" target="_blank"> R Core and R Foundation</a>, contributor to <a href="https://bioconductor.org" target="_blank">BioConductor</a>,
member of the <a href="https://forwards.github.io" target="_blank"> forwards taskforce</a>. He is a leader, scientist, engineer and open-source contributor dedicated to finding new ways to derive insights from data. At Genentech, he is helping define the vision and strategy for how to revolutionize drug discovery through advanced computation and leveraging data at scale.
