We're a way away from needing a web frontend yet. I think the assumption is that it'll use some flavour of JS. Which is easy enough.

However, if we wanted to give Rust a go, there's a project to transpile to JavaScript (and also opens up the possibility of transpiling to WebAssembly) - https://github.com/swc-project/swc

No imperative to discuss this yet - putting this year as an aide memoire (perhaps it should live somewhere else?)
