Add a lp_jolly_describe (or sth) command that shows the prompt as it is configured now together with short descriptions of each field. It could look something like this:

Thanks for the very good idea.
This can be tricky to implement, but would be worth the challenge.

The image above has seen some GIMP (-; In reality I created a script* that prints arrows upwards towards the prompt used to start the script and and downwards towards the prompt that is going to be displayed after the script exits. Run the script twice and Bob's your uncle.

* a completely static one, just a few lines of printf

Not an answer for the jolly theme, but I did that for the default theme, which is a first step: lp-explain.

I am not sure this will be as easy for jolly
