Azure Devops Server migration

Hello,

I work for a company who has both cloud and server version of Azure Devops. We are currently evaluating how to proceed with migration of several collections into cloud. There are smaller collections but there are also 25 and 50 GB+ collections. They are using both XML or inheritance model. I was tasked to explore the possibilities to migrate into existing organization. During my tests, I successfully tested migrator tool from MS on my testing environment, but currently we prefer not to go that path as we would need to migrate into different organization and then try to find a way, how to migrate into existing organization.

I tried your tool and I was able to migrate work items from testing environment from onprem to cloud and from cloud to cloud. But I migrated only work items with several simple adjustments in existing fields. I found that it should be possible to migrate XML based process using Azure DevOps Migration Tools. We have quite highly customized process(es). I read through the documentation and I think it will be wise to ask for your help, process migration seems very complex comparing to the migration of work items. Do you have some general advice how to proceed with process migration? I would like to at least try it myself first. Thanks!

@nmNtFnd I see you tried migrations onprem to cloud and cloud to cloud. We also are trying something similar. Our process is quite out of the box, not much customization (if any). We were successful with migrating cloud to cloud portion but are struggling with onprem to cloud project. Did you notice any difference in behavior/expected config between source being onprem vs coud?
