Sparkle (https://sparkle-project.org) for keeping bombardier up to date. It does pretty much all the heavy lifting for you.

Did some digging into this one, Sparkle 1.x doesn't support Sandboxed apps (yet):

sparkle-project/Sparkle#363

Sparkle 2.x will, but is currently in beta.

Will monitor and test once Sparkle 2.x is out of beta.
