Fork, Commit, Merge - Easy Issue (Erlang)

Create a Simple Erlang Program to Echo User Input

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

Navigate to the tasks/erlang/easy directory from the root of your project.

Then open a file called echo.erl.

Description

Write an Erlang function that takes user input from the console and then prints it back.

Expected Output:

Running the program should have an output similar to the following:

Enter something: Hello World!
You entered: Hello World!

To test the program you have to first make sure you are in the right directory:

cd tasks/erlang/easy

Then you have to compile the program:

erlc echo.erl

After compiling you can run the program with the command:

erl -noshell -s echo start -s init stop

If the program works as requested in the task, you are ready to make a pull request!

To work with this issue, you need to have Erlang installed to your local machine.
Check out README.md for more instructions of installing Erlang and how to make a pull request.
