Resume application maintenance

I understand that this reference app has been dropped in 2017.
This is very unfortunate because it would be great starting point for building a microservice based web application. It would also be a great showcase for how an architecture could benefit from nginx-plus.

I was trying to get it to work and had some success, but eventually I gave up.
Did anyone get it to work and would be willing to share it with the community?
Or, would someone from the NGINX team resume support for this or a similar Microservices Reference Architecture app?
