Currently trying to use the datamap concept to annotate the datafile of my assay. The dataset is about a phenotyping experiment annotated compliant to MIAPPE. In MIAPPE there is a Trait Definition File (tdf), which also provides metadata about the recorded traits (aka observation variables). I understood the datamap that it sort of would replace the tdf. However, I can't figure out how to extend the datamap in the ARCitect. Further, it seems that I can't extend the datamap in Excel by myself. The new columns are not displayed in the ARCitect.

Hey @feserm, thanks for your input. Currently the Datamap is specified with fixed columns.

How did you try to extend the table? Adding Parameter columns like in Assay/Study annotation tables?

I tried to simply add it as a new Column called "Scale". When it did not work, I tried to add it as a Parameter (comparable to unit). With the Link into the Specs, I now tried Comment[Scale], but it also is not displayed in ARCitect.
The Datamap sheet isa_datamap in the isa.assay.xlsx file looks like this:
