Admin can not change user password #10333
Comments
GitMate.io thinks possibly related issues are #4088 (after fresh install change of admin password and adding new user not possible), #1874 (Changing password doesn't work for non-admin users), #1261 (force password change for all users by admin), #8356 (Unable to change forgotten password), and #2289 (Admin can't create new user). |
No, that's not the Problem, the installation is ca. half a year old, and I am the admin, |
Can you fill out the whole issue template? Do you use any external user-directories like LDAP or SAML? What error does appear if you try to change your password? |
I have a similar issue: When I seemingly change a user's password, it actually won't be changed but the old password remains valid. I wonder if that's the same case for you. (If not, I may open a new issue) |
Same Problem. If I click on the Password field the textbox blink and disappear instant. If I click on other Elements like Mail the Textbox work and I'm able to change the content. |
May the Problem is this one here? |
Yes, it look like problem in firefox, in chromium work OK. But when I upgrade my nextcloud installation from 13 to 14, the password input text is missing. when I install new fresh copy of nextcloud with new database, then I be able to edit it in chromium. |
Just installed owncloud via the instructions from digital ocean, and it went perfectly until I added a second user. |
As there is no feedback since a while I will close this ticket. If this is still happening please make sure to upgrade to the latest version. After that, feel free to reopen. |
