I find it confusing that right side has a hamburger menu (and now a new picture icon in edit mode) instead of having a pinnable dock area.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd prefer a dockable (ie. hidden or pinned open) sidebar on the right to house these options. It can replicate the left in practice (maybe with a different arrow icon to differentiate) and would have Details, Full Screen, and Edit/Preview always visible (and picture icon visible when in edit mode.)
The idea would be that if pinned it would allow far easier switching between preview and edit modes, easier categorization of new notes (and existing), less hidden so would be less confusing for new users, and just overall more functional.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Not sure there is any.
Additional context
Thought would need to be put in to how to collapse details inside of the sidebar as I envision it. Right now the (i) Details button opens its own sidebar with title, word count, and category selector. Ideally you could maybe just reuse that portion and put the other two/three buttons in there (ie. category already is in there, can add full screen, can add a toggle for preview/edit).

Woud you mind to provide a mockup/sketch of your idea? That would make it easier to discuss this.
Are you aware about the proposal to introduce a toolbar (see #788 and related PR) as well as the guidelines from Nextcloud about app design in general and the sidebar?
