Hi everyone,

I've just install 3 different Pie-roms for my LG G6 h870 and I have the problem with the News app on those 3 roms :

  • if I open the News app for the 1st time since I've booted the phone, I can update the feeds and download/stream podcasts 👍
  • if I switch to flight-mode for a while and I come back to cellular or wifi : the News app won't update/download anything anymore
  • if I switch from cellular to wifi or wifi to cellular : the News app won't update/download anything anymore
    The only solution to update the feeds is to reboot the device completely.

Does anyone have the same issue ?

P.S.: thanks a lot for the work on this app, it's quite a pleasure to use it !!!

@Grorom Thanks for your feedback!

Are you using the new SingleSignOn Feature? Or are you using the "old" manual login?

This might be related to: #769

I used SSO and I've just switched to the "old" login (and rebooted the phone), I have the same problem.
And I use light theme.

Yes. Same here. I'm using AOKP with Android Pie and News 0.9.9.25 from FDroid. After reboot the sync works. Switching in flight mode disables the sync somehow. The throbber is visible for quite a while and then it just stops.

Is there any possibility to write/get some logs out of the app?

I seem to have this problem as well. Making the app Force Stop from the settings does not fix it for me either, only a reboot solves the problem.

Additionally, unlike #769, I do not get any toast dialogs. In fact, I do not get any animations at all if I click on the Nextcloud News logo or the refresh button in the settings. I only get an animation if I pull-to-refresh, but even then, I don't see any serious IP traffic and nothing updates.

For reference, I am using SSO and my app versions are:
Nextcloud News: v0.9.9.25 (with dark theme)
Nextcloud Files: v3.8.0 (without dark theme)
