[BUG] Font color on Desktop Client Linux in Dark mode #6554
Comments
Hi, Personally I would consider this as a bug, because it is not even visible that there should be an error which one could see if the dark mode is disabled. I am on Ubuntu Mate 22.04 LTS. Despite the bug, thanks for the great work :-) |
For me part of the font and graphics are not readable at all, independent of display mode (dark or bright). |
I found a solution for my problem: |
Hm, it does not change anything for me. Nextcloud was installed via Flatpak tho. |
...Will this ever be fixed? |
If this is what i think it is, it's already fixed: |

REALLY? Can't read sh*t and can't solve conflicts. @camilasan AND im under Windows. |
@LogSpider what version are you using? A fix has been released in 3.14.2. |
3.14.1 do i have to switch to beta or daily channel? @camilasan thank you, okay i updated manually. Update function not working correctly. Normally it does. tadaaaaaaaa damn it, even if i disable dark mode it is not usable. please just put a setting where you can select and force normal mode and dark mode. somehow he choose the wrong colors. or a color picker where you can choose. something to make this adjustable. With my win 11 22h2 VM it looks ok, my win10 22h2 looks ugly as above: |
Same here on windows. It's unsuable. I installed the last usuable version: "Nextcloud-3.13.3-x64.msi". |
Where did you get that version? I can find source files, but no binaries. Edit: Guess I found it: |
as long as it isn't fixed natively ( HREY; WE TALK ABUT THE WINDOWS CLINET HERE!!) this switches the qt to disobey the darkmode settings. this |
Hi there, i am using Nextcloud Desktop-Client 3.12.1 on PopOS 23.10 (GNOME 43 or 44).
When using the Client in dark mode:
it seems that the Nextcloud client gets the background color from the GNOME environment, but not the font color, so in dark mode it looks like this:
...wich is kind of annoying not to be able to read anything here.
it would be awesome to have the font color corrected here.
Thanks a lot!
