Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately for technical reasons is difficult to fuse zip with selectMany.

However, I'll keep this issue open until I have something more conclusive to add.

I forgot to mention that if you want to use zip as a top level producer function then... it is already supported https://github.com/nessos/LinqOptimizer/blob/master/tests/LinqOptimizer.Tests.CSharp/QueryTests.cs#L753
