Run crashes on main branch with a Segmentation Fault on Raspberry Pi Debian 12

steps to reproduce:

1. follow steps in Readme to build on Raspberry Pi
2. launch tic-80
3. add a print line to the code
4. save
5. run, see seg fault

terminal output:
