At present, umls2rdf is designed to generate URIs following a single base pattern UMLS_BASE_URI/code where UMLS_BASE_URI is defined in the configuration file for all vocabularies, and code is simply the vocabulary name. This approach does not yet accommodate assigning custom URIs for each individual ontology.
adapting umls2rdf to generate dedicated URIs for LOINC (or other vocabularies) would be a new feature request.
I was wondering if it would be more useful (for linked data) to use the formal LOINC URIs for the classes in the ontology?
That is, instead of:
<http://purl.bioontology.org/ontology/LNC/LA6725-1> a owl:Class ;
use:
<http://loinc.org/LA6725-1>
Or at least add an owl equivalence statement?
