nats-server increasing number of open handles

I'm experiencing a weird behavior with nast-server.exe on windows IoT 2019 latest (KB5046615) standalone without any clients attached. The system keeps increasing the number of open handles by 2-3k handles per day. This happens with nats-server 2.10.16, but I have also noticed it with the latest release.
It is configured to host a http server and has jetstreams activated, but it seems to increase handles even without jetstreams and http server activated.
Once I run it on Windows IoT 2021, there is no issue.
I'd appreciate any hint.
