JSC owns CFS-101, I'm not sure what the future support plans are for that repo. Last update was 3 yrs ago so it's likely a bit out of date with current patterns or any of the recent release candidates. There's other groups that have developed scripts either to generate from scratch or basically do a search and replace to make sample_app into a "new" app. I haven't seen those other methods open sourced but I'd encourage it, and request adding a link on the cFS readme! The core cFS team does support the sample_app as a good starting point that's included in CI, so it always meets minimum formatting standards and static analysis as well as gets built and run with every cFS repo push. Search and replace, strip out what you don't need and it should be a good start. There's also https://github.com/nasa/skeleton_app as an option, which is basically just a stripped down version of sample_app from 3 yrs ago but it's not in cFS CI. |

https://github.com/nasa/CFS-101 mentions gen_app_code.py as a way to generate an app, but doesn't include the file. Where can I find it?
