is it possible to Search features in more than one GeoJSON layer ?

I would also like to have this feature. But every time you run searchControl.indexFeatures() it overwrites the previous indexing.

Since this thread is over 2 years old I am guessing this was worked out, that and the demo appears to have multiple layers that appear to be geojson data and they are all searchable. I am just checking to be sure before I start tinkering with it in case someone is still monitoring this thread.
