I discovered a link to your project in a three-year-old Reddit post. I tried out your program, and it looks and works excellently.
I have a suggestion regarding the bitrate menu. Given that I have all the files with AC3 audio, your program could automatically detect their current bitrate. It would be beneficial if this information could be integrated into the bitrate settings, allowing me to convert these files from AC3 to AAC while maintaining the same bitrate.

@FrostyMisa thank you for using this app and for your suggestion, it's a pleasure to read real user feedback!
If I understand, you need an option to keep the same bitrate, right? In my understanding of audio codec and bitrate, there is no equivalence between the bitrate of two codecs like AAC and AC3, the quality-bitrate ratio is not comparable. For example:
320 kbps with AAC is not the same quality as 320 kbps with AC3
with AC3 we can have a bitrate of 640 kbps while AAC maximum bitrate is lower
That's why there is no "Same as source" option in the bitrate menu, it's completely intended. I don't think it's possible to set the bitrate from one codec to be the same as another.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to do this?
