Note that when adding a new user neither the password nor the confirmation code are hashed.

Also an error is shown when adding a new user:

SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry '[email protected]' for key 'users_email_unique'

However the user is added to the db.
