In the older v2 ASCII-source RFC format the body of an RFC is rendered as a sequence of pages, each repeating extraneous information from the first page or page numbers which are redundant for unpaginated HTML.
RFC 4594, pg. 2 for example, cuts paragraphs mid-sentence as content flows over to the next page. This makes for confusing and noisy narration of these publications.
