The viewer doesn't scroll to the same page after Chrome restart #15602

Configuration:

  • Web browser and its version: Chrome 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • Operating system and its version: Windows 10 Home 21H1
  • PDF.js version: 2.3.164
  • Is a browser extension: Yes

Steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. Load the PDF
  2. Set horizontal scroll mode (maybe not relevant)
  3. Scroll to page 27
  4. Restart Chrome

It may be related to having more than one PDFs loaded in separate tabs.

What is the expected behavior? (add screenshot)
The PDF to be scrolled to page 27 after restart

What went wrong? (add screenshot)
The PDF is scrolled to page 7

WFM, using PDF.js 3.0.229 [9355b72] in Firefox Nightly 108.


PDF.js version: 2.3.164
Is a browser extension: Yes

Please note that the Chromium extension is (effectively) unmaintained nowadays; see #13669
