Second Chance Emails Redirect to Error Page Instead of Payment Options #847

Describe the bug
I've enabled 2nd change emails if a payment is failing, but the customer is redirected to the webshop where an error message is triggerd instead of payment options.

Used versions

  • Magento Version number(eg 2.3.5): 2.4.7.p3
  • Open source/Enterprise/B2b: Open Source
  • Mollie version number (Check configuration): 2.42.1

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Enable 2nd change emails
  2. Wait until the email is send
  3. Click on the link/button in the email, it will redirect you to your store

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Actual behavior
On the webshop I get this error:

While I'd expect that the customer would be able to do a payment.

Additional context
I only have 'guest'-customers, maybe that's the issue?
For shipping I use the MyParcel-module

Hi @gerben86,

This functionality should work as expected.

The previously used shipping method is applied when the second chance email is sent.
Could it be that there’s some dynamic logic in place for selecting the shipping method?

Since this should work out of the box and we’re unable to reproduce the issue, feel free to reach out to us directly.
We’d be happy to take a closer look with you in your staging or development environment.

Hi,
I'm making use of the MyParcel-module for selecting the shippingmethod.
So the customer can choose for different options like a pickup-point, only housenumber etc.
But I'm quite surprised that that would change the logic.

For this customer a pickup piont was selected:

Hi @gerben86,

Thank you for clarifying that you’re using MyParcel as a shipping method. We attempted to reproduce this issue with MyParcel but were unable to do so. It could be related to a specific setting or something else, but without access to the code, it’s difficult to pinpoint the cause.

Our recommendation is to start by disabling all non-core modules, leaving only the core Magento modules and the Mollie module active, and see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, gradually re-enable the other modules one by one and test again until the problem reoccurs. This approach will help you identify where the issue is originating more effectively.
