What is your idea?
Introducing a
<m-portal>
element: a customizable gateway that allows users to instantly transition between different environments, positions or metaverses.The portal functions similarly to a hyperlink, but is tailored for immersive 3D experiences.
Users can activate the transition either by clicking on the portal or colliding with it.
The design and aesthetics of the element should flexible and not predefined within this object; instead, they can be detailed using other elements like
<m-model>
,<m-image>
, and so forth.Why is it important?
As the metaverse continues to expand and interconnect, the need for smooth transitions will become imperative.
They can break down the barriers of isolated virtual worlds and virtual "walled gardens".
This will greatly enhance free exploration and connectivity.
What do you propose?
Develop the
<m-portal>
element that recognizes user actions, perhaps within a certain radius, such as clicking or colliding, to trigger a transition to another environment, or position.Example:
Imagine a city with a magical floating islands in the sky.
Instead of ascending via stairs or elevators, a ground-level
<m-portal>
can offer instant teleportation to these places.Users simply walk into or click the portal, and they're instantly transported.
