several users had difficulties understanding the check mark and did not find the tool tip explaing what it does. Suggestion: Since the GUI is mainly colored in grey and blue, choose a red check mark icon.

Oh yes, that's quite important.
I think, we will make them green and red.
Also adding a tooltip, or explanation is a good idea

the explanatory tooltip is already there but some users do not find it
