Search all Playlists #9366
Comments
Commented by: daschuer I cannot confirm this. The search is disabled for AutoDj though, which is intended to not play hidden tracks, which could be surprising. |
Commented by: rryan I think they might mean searching from the root playlists node (i.e. with no playlist selected). Paul, is that right? |
Commented by: geozubuntu It should be extremely useful feature. Through years I have made lots of playlists of different "personalities" and combinations. (I am a radio DJ and some friends parties) At the end of each event I save my playlist) Sometimes I need to combine some of them with parts of other lists. It would be extremely useful if I could search for the track on the root of Playlists tree and all lists containing this track to be hilighted. So I could enter each one and check the combination and the "personality" of each one list. Thanks a lot |
Commented by: geozubuntu Of course it can be done through the Tracks general search but that way we would have one more search active. Thanks again |
Commented by: Be-ing Sounds like a good idea to me. geozubuntu are you interested in working on it? |
Commented by: geozubuntu Unfortunately I'm not a programmer. |
I'd like to invite you to take a look at PR #14182 smarties / Search Crates, with wihich you can convert a lineEditSearch to a complex searchmodel with multiple conditions you can create based on all track fields / track containers etc. |

Clicking PLAYLISTS and then SEARCH leaves the SEARCH box disabled. There seems to be no way to SEARCH through all PLAYLISTS. Thanks.
