Bug Description

On open and playing Mixxx - i moved a track in my mp3 directory. After rescan mixxx is not able anymore to find it. I have to close Mixxx and reopen. After that, Mixxx was able to find the tracks.

I'm sure that worked on my 2.4 alpha versions.

Version

2.4 beta 79

OS

Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon

I can reproduce it when deleting files. They'll be visible (i.e. not marked missing) in playlists until I restart.

Will check again if the 'missing' flag (mixxx_deleted) is really not set or if it's an issue with the clean-up query (see #11851)

Unrelated, the mixxx_deleted is the flag for 'hidden' (set by user).

After rescan mixxx is not able anymore to find it

Do you refer to the Tracks view, or some playlist/crate?

I can not reproduce with Tracks.
If it's about missing tracks in playlists/crates, this is by design:
missing tracks are not removed from playlist permanently (nor hidden) because it may very well be that the tracks are on a removable drive (or some other currently unavailable place) and may be present again later on.
See #8791 (comment)

@stefan-franz Can you reproduce with moved files in the Tracks view?

Now it works as expected. Moved a track, rescan. Mixxx was able to update the database during it runs.
